Showers & baths
Mixer showers and bath fillers respond with a fuller stream. Less waiting around for the tub and fewer complaints about “trickle” outlets on upper floors.
Water pressure boosting pump
Low dynamic pressure shows up as weak showers, slow-filling baths and appliances that never quite perform. A correctly specified and installed boosting pump raises pressure and flow on the cold (and sometimes hot) circuit — with neat pipework, proper isolation and a setup that suits your home.
Some properties suffer from inadequate pressure at the tap, especially upstairs or after loft conversions. Unvented cylinders, certain combi setups and multi-outlet bathrooms are particularly sensitive. We survey the installation, check what is allowed on your supply and recommend a pump that matches demand — not oversized noise in a cupboard.
The photograph above is from a recent install: a compact booster integrated with new copper runs, shut-off valves and tidy clipping — the standard we aim for on every job.
A booster is not always the right answer — but when it is, the difference in daily use is immediate. Here is what customers usually notice.
Mixer showers and bath fillers respond with a fuller stream. Less waiting around for the tub and fewer complaints about “trickle” outlets on upper floors.
When the pump serves the right branch of the system, kitchens, utilities and cloakrooms on the same circuit benefit together — without unnecessary equipment in living spaces.
We keep runs logical and accessible so future maintenance or upgrades are straightforward. Isolation valves mean the rest of the house can stay in use when work is needed on the pump set.
Boosting must be done with an eye on regulations, manufacturer instructions and your existing supply. We explain what is achievable before we quote, and we install to the same tidy standard you see in our project photography.
Not every low-pressure complaint needs a pump — sometimes the fix is a partially closed stop tap, a blocked strainer or a system design issue. We diagnose first, then propose a booster only when it is the appropriate solution.
Good mounting, flexible connections where specified and the right pump for the duty all keep operation discreet. We show you how to reset or isolate the set if needed, and we can discuss periodic checks for larger or commercial-style installations.
Call or message us with your postcode and a short description of the problem. We will advise whether a boosting pump is suitable and arrange a visit to measure, plan pipe routes and quote clearly.
