Guidance on requesting information from ASC HEATING & PLUMBING and your related rights under UK law.
Last updated: 25 May 2026
Are we covered by the Freedom of Information Act?
ASC HEATING & PLUMBING is a private trading business, not a public authority. The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) therefore does not generally require us to disclose information on request in the same way as government bodies or local authorities.
How you can still request information
We aim to be open and professional. You may contact us for:
- general information about our services and coverage areas;
- copies of your own customer records (quotes, invoices, job notes) where we hold them;
- confirmation of insurance or qualifications relating to work we perform for you.
Email info@ascmech.co.uk with a clear description of what you need. We will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 20 working days where a detailed search is required.
Personal data requests
Requests about your personal data are handled under UK GDPR — see our Privacy and Cookies notice for access, correction and erasure rights.
Commercially sensitive information
We cannot share confidential pricing models, supplier terms, or another customer’s information without consent or a legal requirement.
Complaints
If you believe we have wrongly refused information about your own data or contract, please contact us first. Data protection complaints may be referred to the ICO.
Note: This information is provided for general guidance and does not constitute legal advice. You may wish to have these policies reviewed by a qualified adviser for your specific circumstances.
